My brother will be developing a car part of this series called bmw i6 , this concept car will focus on the user interaction with the interior of this car.

My new question is:

How can graphic design enhance the driving experience in a BMW i6?

BMW i3 & i8 Series: Born Electric

BMW is an automotive company that is modern and exploring new technology. Their new concept series reflects the new look of cars, the direction automobiles will take in a few years as well as their features. The brand essence is joy therefore even in this concept the experience inside the car is very limiting as well as the interior of this car is conventional.

How can graphic design...

During my Thanksgiving break, I had a deep discussion with my younger brother Angelo. Angelo, junior at CCS ( College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI), our discussion was about the interfaces of cars not keeping up to date or reflecting the sophistication of the design of the car outside. As well interfaces of cars are confusing and for being in the road having a clear accessible interfaces that allows the user not to loose sight of the road while multi-tasking is not just safe but practical. Cars aside from taking in us from point A to point B, they are becoming sites for family interaction as well as taking the lifestyle that you have outside of the car and continuing them on the road.

Phase I : Problem & Solution

My aunt Gloria works very closely and diligent as a translator for the hearing impaired. She has allowed me several times accompanied her and I have been able to see first hands some of the struggles that this culture is confronted with. This community relies heavily on visuals as well as technology such as iphone and ipad, as intermediate means of communication. Due to this exposure I will like to use graphic design for the greater good and improve their means of communication, or helping a subculture something with a social responsibility essence.
I will like my project to cover branding and as well as iphone app. I’m interested in branding and user experience. Exploring ways that I can use the technology that is at our disposal in order to help and create an application that is tailored to their needs it’s my aim.
